Key player in Harley-Davidson resurrection after AMF ownership.

Jeffrey Bleustein came our of AMF's corporate research and engineering division. After becoming extensively involved in sorting out Harley-Davidson's manufacturing problems, he was named vice president of engineering in 1975. He doubled the engineering staff and has been creditd with helping the company narrowly achieve EPA regulations under deadline. He has a Ph.D. in engineering from Columbia University and has taught engineering at Yale. After a stint as head of parts and accessories, during which Harley-Davidson launched its upgrade in retailing standards, Bleustein became president and CEO.
