Champion Hill Climber

Born in 1967, Lou Gerencer, Jr., was raised in an atmosphere of championship motorcycle competition. He began hill climbing as an amateur at the age of 10 and also did some flat tract racing, earning an AMA junior license. He became a professional hill climber in 1989 and won the first event he ever entered, on his hometown hill near Goshen, Indiana. He won national championship titles in 1991, 1994 and 1996.
