Champion Rad Racer for Harley-Davidson

Walter Villa was born in Castlenuovo Rangone, Italy, in 1943. He came from a motorcycling famiy and had a brother--Francesco--who also raced. Villa was injured in the tragic accident at Monza in 1973 that killed Jarno Saarinen and Harley-Davidson star Renzo Pasolini. Villa was riding a factory Benelli at the time but after his recovery was selected to fill the vacancy left by Pasolini. Between 1974 and 1977, he won 23 Grand Prix and captured four world championships for Harley-Davidson.
